The micro, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are the foundation of a developmental state. In western UP where many people are engaged in the small industries of jaggery (gur), the whole politics around the sugar cane and other farming concerns become really important. But the plight is that the issues and the politics of sugarcane are not that much discussed in the public sphere and has always been marginalized.
But the politics, the stories' and people's voices from this region too should be heard and discussed. Only at time of elections, these issues have been bit highlighted merely as an compensation. The need of the hour is to make these peoples' voice heard, the whole politics and related events should reach to the wider audience and therefore should be analyzed as the part of the mainstream discourse.
